Guangxi Hemingway Distillery Co., Ltd. is a technology-driven enterprise in China focused on the R&D, production, sales, and the development of a rum ecological industry chain as its core business. The company currently possesses a strain cultivation room, chemical analysis lab, data processing room, development lab, live-streaming studio, heavy rum production line, light rum production line, fruit wine production line, Rumpapa terminal sales system, and the "Hemingway Wine Dream Flying" mini-program mall. It holds multiple unique techniques and patents (invention and utility model) for rum brewing.

2010

Company Founder

Zou Yi, founder of Hemingway, returned to China from Australia in 2010 responding to national calls, bringing back a rum project. By the end of 2010, it was implemented within the Guangxi State Farms Sugar Industry Group, constructing a 10,000-ton annual capacity molasses rum production line, which was completed and put into operation by the end of 2011.
2011

Company Established

The predecessor of Nanning Haimingwei Technology Co., Ltd. was Nanning Zhihuitong Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd., established in December 2011. The company was founded to organize research and experimental teams to provide technical, patent, and talent support and guarantees for the completion of a 10,000-ton annual rum production line for Guangxi State Farms Sugar Group.
2012

Company Development

In 2012, the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region listed the rum project as an emerging 100-billion-yuan industry project for Guangxi and established the Rum Industrialization Engineering Institute. This strategic layout provided solid policy and industrial convenience for Hemingway's technological development and market expansion.
2014

Company Shareholding System

In March 2014, the first-phase investment totaling 8 million RMB from Zhihuitong Company, Mr. Qin Yihong, and others led to the establishment of Guangxi Hemingway Distillery Co., Ltd. in Heshan City, with a registered capital of 3 million RMB. In 2015, the company was renamed Guangxi Hemingway Distillery Co., Ltd. (joint-stock company), and after further investment, its registered capital increased to 23.4369 million RMB.
2017

E-commerce Expansion

·Entered the 1688 platform, launching B2B online wholesale business to serve corporate clients. · Opened a Taobao store, reaching C-end consumers, with steady sales growth. · Entered Pinduoduo, targeting the lower-tier market, leading to rapid expansion of user base.
2021

Company's Rum 'Reverse Export'

On November 18, 2021, a cargo truck slowly entered the Industrial Transformation Park in Heshan City, Guangxi. It was to load a total of 20 kiloliters of Hemingway Rum, destined for Papua New Guinea in Oceania, marking the first-ever transaction of domestically produced rum exported overseas.
2024

Yunnan Hemingway Technology Export

On April 10, 2024, Yunnan Hemingway Wine Co., Ltd. was established. Guangxi Hemingway Distillery Co., Ltd., as the core technical support provider, offers comprehensive technical assistance to the Yunnan company, covering brewing techniques, maturation management, and quality control systems. This marks a new chapter of cross-regional collaborative development for the "Hemingway" brand.
